Trimedlure Plug

Trimedlure is a synthetic pheromone used to attract various species of fruit flies, particularly Ceratitis capitata (Mediterranean fruit fly) and Bactrocera spp. (including the oriental fruit fly). Trimedlure plugs are used in traps to monitor and control these pests.

Uses of Trimedlure Plugs:

1. Monitoring: Trimedlure plugs are used in traps to monitor the population of fruit flies in orchards or agricultural fields.

2. Pest Control: The lure attracts male fruit flies, helping to reduce the population and prevent crop damage.

3. Detection: Helps early detection of fruit fly infestations, allowing for timely interventions in pest management programs.

Common Traps Used with Trimedlure Plugs:

• Paper and Plastic Jackson Traps

These plugs help ensure effective pest management, particularly for fruits like citrus, peaches, and olives.
